Hi there. I’m Amanda Coulter, a marketing and communications professional with over 15 years of experience in leading, developing, and executing strategic marketing campaigns, strengthening brand identities, and driving business growth. I am also a wife, a mother, a daughter, a friend, and a woman of faith, who thrives off of giving my time and talents to help others and my community. That is me in a nutshell.

As a marketing and communications specialist, officially, my job is to create compelling messaging and strategies to enhance brand awareness and engage target audiences effectively.  But really?  I build an emotional connection with people through trust and transparency by understanding their desires and concerns. At times, it is about uncovering latent needs that they may not know they had.  Think about it, before smartphones existed, nobody thought to themselves “I really need a phone that combines a phone, camera, music player, and internet browser all in one.”  However, as technology advanced and marketing campaigns highlighted the convenience and capabilities of smartphones, they became an integral part of modern life, convincing many individuals that they needed such a device for communication, information access, and various other functionalities.  Today, most people would claim they cannot live without them.  Yet, they once did.

That’s my job, to show you what you didn’t know you couldn’t live without.

Beyond my professional expertise in marketing and communications, I derive joy from crafting positive moments in people's lives through my other interests in interior design and volunteer work. Over the years, I've assisted friends in turning old spaces into newfound sources of happiness, a job that pays me nothing monetary but fills my heart. I’ve also dedicated countless hours to organizing fundraisers, coordinating corporate volunteering, and offering my personal time to serve in my community. This passion is something I aspire to integrate into my professional life someday. Until that happens, I am committed to pursuing it fervently and purposefully.

The value I bring to the table.

I am a strategic implementer.

I have, in every career I have held, tried to be thoughtful and purposeful about how I approach decisions and take action on them. I am good at considering the bigger picture and setting long-term sustainable objectives while still understanding that there will be road bumps and curveballs along the way. Beyond conceptualizing the vision, I excel as an implementer. I derive satisfaction from developing a strategic roadmap that prioritizes tasks, propels progress towards milestones, and subsequently executing the plan through adept communication and collaboration.

I am dependable.

I am dedicated and determined not to let you down. Throughout my life, reliability has been a cornerstone of my character. When entrusted with tasks, there's assurance that they will be completed diligently. However, one challenge I faced for years was holding myself accountable for outcomes that deviated from the plan. Initially, I struggled with negative feedback and criticism, recognizing it as a common human trait. Nevertheless, I acknowledged the need for improvement. To be an effective leader, I understood the importance of taking responsibility for my decisions, even when they didn't unfold as expected. This shift allowed me to establish clear expectations and hold team members accountable. Ultimately, my goal is collective success, and sometimes that requires admitting when my approach may not be the optimal choice. It's not about avoidance; it's about ownership and moving forward.

I am a good leader.

I've made significant strides in this area over the years. Contrary to gaining experience through direct management or holding a C-Suite position, my expertise stems from collaborating with teams across various functional areas and organizational levels. Leading projects with individuals not under my direct supervision required building strong relationships. I couldn't rely on a managerial role; instead, I excelled at listening, effective communication, inspiration, and empathy. These experiences reshaped my perspective on colleagues, influencing both my treatment of them and theirs of me. I am committed to ongoing growth in this aspect, recognizing that the journey is never truly complete.

While my career holds significance, it doesn't define my entire existence. Each day, I express gratitude for the numerous blessings in my life, particularly my family. They serve as my strongest supporters and represent my most significant achievements. Recognizing the fleeting nature of our time together, I increasingly endeavor to cherish the moments we share as the years pass. Rather than merely counting our blessings, we make a conscious effort to share them generously, spreading love and kindness to others as much as possible.
