The gift that keeps on giving.

Transforming a vision into reality brings immense satisfaction. Personally, what surpasses this satisfaction is the profound moment when that reality positively impacts someone's life. I feel fortunate to have shared my gifts and talents to assist others, and these moments continue to be a constant source of fulfillment for me.

My Philanthropy Resume

  • Kinder Key serves as an auxiliary of Nationwide Children’s Hospital and provides new hope for young hearts through their support of The Heart Center at Nationwide Children’s. As an active member of the organization for 8 years I served multiple officer roles and led numerous fundraising events, raising nearly $1M during that time period. Some of the key roles I served in the organization were:

    • In 2016-17 I served as the organization’s PR officer, handling all publicity needs across our multiple media channels including the website, social media, and local publications. During my term I secured multiple placements in city and community publications and increased our following on Facebook by 50%. In addition, I served this same year as our golf tournament representative who organizes volunteers to work Kinder Key’s dedicated concession stand at the Muirfield Memorial Tournament every year.

    • I acted as head of the committee in 2017, co-Chair in 2018 and Chair in 2019 for Kinder Key’s largest fundraiser Denim & Diamonds. This is a semi-formal event with over 200 attendees that includes a silent & live auction, casino, raffles, dinner & cocktails, and special guest speakers. In 2019 I chaired this event at The Exchange in Dublin. I was responsible for coordinating every aspect, including location, vendors, sponsorships, donations, volunteers, and promotion of the event. The event raised over $100K for the heart center at Nationwide Children’s Hospital.

    • In 2021 I was appointed President of Kinder Key and all in-person events were cancelled for our year. Within the first month as President, we hosted a recruitment event to help grow our membership by double. We coordinated multiple virtual events, such as our Designer Bag Bingo with an online live auction that raised over $4k. We secured donations of cookie kits from a local bakery in Dublin and raised over $5K in the fall season and leading up to Valentine’s day. We brought one of our most loved events, cupcakes and cocktails, to everyone’s home by pulling together boxes and hand delivering them prior to our live virtual event. That event alone raised over $7K. Even in a year of turmoil and challenges we were able to raise over $25K for The Heart Center.

  • The Memorial Tournament is an annual golf tournament hosted every year by Muirfield Village Golf Club in Dublin, OH. This tournament is an official event of the PGA Tour and welcomes players from around the world each year. It is dedicated to supporting and giving back to the local community. For over 47 years, Nationwide Children’s hospital has supplied over 2,000 volunteers to work this event in return for millions of dollars in donations back to the hospital.

    • I have served on the Memorial Tournament Committee since 2021 as Chair of the Will Call.

    • My role encompasses assessing and determining volunteer volume requirements, effectively recruiting both corporate and individual volunteers, and overseeing the seamless registration process to meet tournament standards.

    • During tournament week, my responsibilities extend to orchestrating infrastructure and staffing needs, ensuring they are adequately met, and managing a diverse team of hundreds of volunteers. This multifaceted role allows me to contribute significantly to the success of this event, facilitating a positive experience for participants, staff, and attendees.

    • Beyond the above, I attend monthly committee meetings from August until tournament week, which is typically the end of May or beginning of June the following year. Preparation leading up to the event is no small task and all committee members are required to meet all deadlines.

  • I served as a board member for two years with the Greater Columbus Sister Cities organization. GCSC is a non-profit with a mission to build community relationships around the world through education, economic development, and arts & culture. They collaborate globally around the world with other cities to build strategic partnerships that create exchanges and connections while promoting peace and strengthening communities.

    • As a board member I was required to attend monthly meetings, help develop and execute our strategic plan, vote on important agenda items, and contribute my professional talents to benefit the organization. I spearheaded our PR, marketing, and managed our website, which I helped to redesign in 2016.

  • In 2014, the company I worked for, Greif, partnered with another local Columbus company to sponsor a home with Habitat for Humanity. I was nominated to spearhead this project for both organizations. My role included:

    • Managing all internal and external communications for the build, inclusive of promotions, PR, and volunteer notifications.

    • Recruiting and scheduling all volunteers across both organizations and ensuring requirements are fulfilled.

    • Organizing a volunteer kickoff event for 300 people as well as a ribbon cutting ceremony for the family receiving the home.

  • Aside from the above projects, I have worked ongoing with multiple other nonprofit organizations both personally and through corporate volunteer opportunities. Most organizations that I have worked for professionally have not had organized programs for employees to volunteer. For this reason, I have advocated for this at each company and successfully engaged employees in investing their time in the community. This is a passion for me that over the years I have been able to incorporate into my career. The end goal for me is to integrate someday fully the two.

It goes beyond my actions; it's about inspiring my children, friends, co-workers, and community members to follow suit. Setting a positive example and advocating for those who may not have a voice themselves is a commitment I hold dear.
